Have fruit trees but not much fruit? Come learn about an easy option to help get your trees pollinated from Missy Anderson (alias Queen Bee), from King County Master Gardeners. Missy has been on the Master Gardener’s speaker’s bureau since 2006. She travels around King & Snohomish counties spreading the word about the marvelous mason bee. She has spoken at several local nurseries, whole food establishments, as well as classrooms (kindergarten to high school), scout troops, garden clubs, and private neighborhood gatherings. She has been growing bees for over 11 years & recently opened a website offering rental of complete nesting units for those who want the benefit of pollination but none of the upkeep. She is going to share ideas to help each of us become a successful bee farmer. It is fun and easy.
The Snohomish County Fruit Society (SCFS) is the newest chapter of Western Cascade Fruit Society (WCFS) http://www.wcfs.org. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited. For further information, email Snohomishcfs@gmail.com.
