Looking for a variety of fruit tree not sold in the nurseries or a more economical way to increase your home orchard?  Learn to graft your own ‘designer’ fruit trees!  Gil Schieber, of Skipley Farms, will discuss the Whip & Tongue method of grafting.  Come learn the technique, about appropriate tools, rootstock, & scion wood.  Rootstock & scion wood will be offered for sale & use in creating your own dwarf apple trees.

Gil Schieber has a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture, has worked in the fruit industry & edible landscaping for over 40 years, & has taught in all aspects of horticulture.  He owns Skipley Farms, a small, local, diverse, holistic farm which grows apples, grapes, blueberries, cherries, and other berries and vegetables.

Please join us and learn to graft your own fruit trees!
