Winter is here and there is nothing ‘fruitful’ to do? On the contrary, come and hear Randy Lee discuss dormant fruit care at the January 9, 2014 meeting of the Snohomish County Fruit Society. What you should be doing when it seems there is nothing to do with your fruit trees, grapes, berries/canes, and ground dwellers!
Randy Lee has a degree in Plant Physiology from the University of Idaho, specializing in deciduous fruit tree and postharvest physiology. He spent a number of years as a private researcher for the largest grower/packer/shipper in Washington State. He retired in 2010 after spending several years with Boeing’s Sea Launch Program. He now spends his time fishing, shooting, volunteering (SCFS Board member & Snohomish County Master Gardener Program), and being a Dad and Grand-dad.
The Snohomish County Fruit Society (SCFS) is the newest chapter of Western Cascade Fruit Society (WCFS). The meeting will be held at the Snohomish Boys and Girls Club at 402 2nd St, Snohomish Washington at 7pm. A brief meeting will precede the presentation. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited. For further information, see our website at https://snohomishcfs.wordpress.com/ or call (425) 398-5544.
