SCFS Mtg “Mason Bees” Thurs, Nov 10@7pm

Mason Bees – gentle, amazing pollinators, and easy to raise. We are fortunate enough to have a local mason bee expert, Dave Hunter, founder and owner of Crown Bees in Woodinville share with us this week about these bees. Dave is also the founder of the commercial organization, Orchard Bee Association and has served on the advisory board of the USDA Specialty Crop Research Initiative for 10 years. He works with researchers across the world to ensure that what is known about mason bees is centralized and shared with all.

Crown Bees raises and sells solitary bees online, in nurseries, in orchards, and soon to be big box. They are working to change how the world pollinates it food.
