SCFS Mtg “Food Storage” Thurs, Dec 8 @7pm

Though my fruit has long been in, the last few root crops came out of my garden just this week before the colder weather sets in. I want to store them for fresh eating, but how? Come this Thursday to hear SCFS Member, Jim Holt, give us some options, both for fruits and vegetables. Jim will specifically be focusing on non-electrical storage (ie – something other than an extra fridge in the garage such as a root cellar, cold storage, etc). Come and find out how you can continue to enjoy the fresh fruits of your labor even through the winter.

This meeting of the Snohomish County Fruit Society (SCFS) is Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 7pm at the Snohomish Boys and Girls Club, 402 2nd Street, Snohomish, WA 98290. SCFS is a chapter of the Western Cascade Fruit Society (WCFS) http://www.wcfs.org. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is invited. For further information, email SnohomishCFS@gmail.com or call 206-427-4279. A brief business meeting and elections will precede the speaker.
